As metioned by Aldo. Ronaldo played over 40 games in his first season at Manure as an 18 year old plooky youth. Now 15 years on and still plooky he is averaging 50 games a season and has been his entire career.
Lewis Ferguson is 19 and has got all the makings of a being a brilliant player, and does appear to be getting his chance from DM and I hope it continues.

No, Ronaldo was able to play more later in his career because he was managed through his development.
