We clouted the Tims 3-1 in the Scottish Cup final, the first trophy I ever saw us win.

    I didnae get to go.

Listened to the 2nd half commentary on a dodgy trannie (no jokes) at the swing park in Dyce.
( swingers, trannies, I'm in trouble here)

Watched the cup come home down Union Street on the Sunday.

My first final too. A brilliant day out. Travelled down on BR special (food & drink included) with auld boy and his mates. My first experience of being called a dirty orange bar steward by the greatest fans in the world.

You might not have had access to a TV but were the Scottish Cup Finals not televised live in the 1970s?

Nope. This latter-day Mr La-de-da Gunner Graham folly was first introduced in 78, I think, when we lost 2-1 to the 1872-2012 financially swicky malodorous bigoty fascisty lot.

I'd already been to the 1967 final. This was beautiful revenge on the plastic Tims at school who started 'supporting' the hygienically-challenged filth three weeks after the 67 final when they won the European Cup.

We didn't put up much of a fight on the pitch in '67 I believe? How did you get down? Did it not take about 7 hours to reach Glasgow back then?
