Thread: Should we sell our talisman?

    Should we sell our talisman?

AVFC back in with more money for Tom.

Should we really be selling our talisman?

    Yes or No?

I think he's our best keeper, but if any player wants to leave, then talisman or not, they can go for me at the right price.

No, but I think we owe it to him to let him go if that's what he really wants.

As long as it doesn't mean Hart starting many games!

Word just in is that £8 million up front, with another £2 million in add-ons has been agreed between us and AVFC.

I hope we don't live to regret this.

Why the downer on Hart Garlick,?

I'm unsure why he's despised that's all I thought he did a decent job for us last year tbh, he made a lot of saves.

There was talk of un rest but surely if there were issues Dyche would have got him out of our club.

Still think he's a decent keeper that's all.

He's awful. I've no doubt we'd have gone down had he not been dropped last season.

Signing Hart is the biggest mistake SD has ever made.

We could regret it, it makes the defence of one of our relegation rivals an awful lot stronger, which is not really a good idea. WBA would never have done it.

I'm still not sure why he signed him, it's almost as big a mystery as the signing of Wells.

I'll agree that the defence seemed much more confident when Tom replaced Hart in goal last season. The one fault I could see with Hart was not commanding enough in the air from corners etc. However, where's Pope in all this discussion? He did us proud when Tom was injured. Surely he should be No. 1 for us this next season.

There's more to being a good keeper than shot stopping. Hart doesn't give his defenders confidence, he hardly ever comes to claim crosses, he doesnt talk to his back line as much as he should, he is weak down to his left which is exploited by forwards and his distribution is average.
    Loan to West Ham
He made his debut for West Ham in a 4–0 defeat away to Manchester United and conceded 10 goals in his first three appearances they continue to ship goals for fun and are looking like relegation candidates until they drop him , results turn around and they are not relegated. apps 19 goals conceded 35
Loan to Torino who conceded 66 goals in 38 games Hart Played 36 games conceding 62 of those goals he returns to City and the season after Torino concede just 46.
Then He comes to Us and what was one of the meanest defences in the league the previous season suddenly leaks like a sieve and we cant buy a win regularly conceding 2, 3+ until he is dropped. 19 apps conceded 41. Tom 19 apps conceded 27

I'm pretty certain If he is no1 for anywhere near a full season we go down.
A good Keeper comes into a team and makes the team noticeably better, Hart makes teams noticeably Worse.
Selling Tom to Villa will make Villa considerably stronger and us weaker is that really what we should be doing for the sake of 10m. Give them Hart even pay 10k a week towards his wages make them weaker
