Did he? Impressive. Must've been the only time he's scored in the last 2 years.

Was talking to a PNE fan at work today. He reckons they paid a mil for him. Don’t think they were laughing too much

The only people laughing are... Tommy Wright who sold him for nearly £1m and got him back for nothing (although he possibly doesn't realise how bad he now is), and Stevie May himself who is more than likely almost a millionaire (if he isn't already) despite having done nothing of note in his footballing career with the exception of 1 season where he scored quite a few goals.

Well, I wish the guy all the best.

He's undoubtedly ended up a waste of money, but as was said higher, I think we all reckoned he was a good signing.

In his early games I thought he looked the part, his debut at County he played well but it was downhill pretty early, in fact he's never looked like anything since the rat did him.

I reckon the guy's shot but I hope he does OK at the penny dainties....nae against us obviously.

In spite of things nae happening for him he always gave his lot for us, "the bare minimum" I hear you shout. "Absolutely" I would reply "but how many wage thief bar stewards have lived off this club and nae met that bare minimum?".

Good luck to him. He's not the player he was when he left St Johnstone, but i suspect he's not as spent as his time with us might suggest.

From day one McInnes played counter to his strengths and failed to tap the talents of a player who represented a significant investment. Tommy Wright won't make that same mistake.

I reckon he'll hit double figures for St Johnstone this season. And for what little it's worth i'd much rather we had Stevie May on our booms than Curtis Main.

He undoubtedly tried his best, but for the most part he was woeful. All the best to him though. He was played out wide a lot which was never going to work as he's slower than a week in jail, has no ability to beat a man or cross a ball. Then he was sometimes played in behind Cosgrove doing a man marking job on opposition midfielders, which doesn't really fit the description of striker.

Very much doubt he'll score double figures for Saints this season considering he's got nowhere near that in two seasons combined for us. St Johnstone are about as boring a team as we are. The one big difference is that he will be treated as a hero at Saints, and maybe some of his confidence will return, which may help him.

Oh and never mind Stevie May, I'd rather have Stevie Wonder up front than Curtis Main

There's a thread! Oh! Silky Silky Silky!! (heed in hands)

Or from around the same time...Craig Roberston..."only" 200k (I think, long time ago) from Dunfermline, but quite a lot around that time all the same... but jaysus he was slow...I remember going to a pre season game v Wick Academy and we were all thinking this guy just cant run. How many appearances did he make anyone?

Stevie May was yet another player who didn’t fit into McInnes system so he ended up running around a lot doing all of the donkey work for Cosgrove.

Tommy Wright will play him to his strengths,a bit like Clarke did with Stewart and he will do well for them.
