Thank Rich as always - great to see the progress chart return.

An observation I had. We had the exact same points after 7 games this year as last year. So while I’ve been feeling slightly downbeat that despite a top start we’re only 3rd, the same start last year was only good enough for 4th. This has made me feel much better so thought I’d share. COYP!

One note on subbing the strike partnership off... it's not just protecting them of course. It lets others get precious minutes of experience and in this case let Luke trial an entirely new player in relative safety. Smart stuff.
Even with my top scorer bet on Langstaff meaning I should want him to play every available minute to increase the chance of more goals I'm very happy the strike partnership are being subbed off when we are comfortable for the reasons stated. As Jampie rightly states the benefit goes beyond that of just resting and saving their legs for the next game.

So the loss was a lot closer than the scoreline suggested. A few rolls of the dice different and it would have been a convincing win. Sad, but it's great to see we've put it behind us.

Have to say, stats-wise this season is looking very, very good for us so far?

I think peoples view and opinion of the Dorking loss depends to a certain degree in whether you were in attendance or not, which is usually the case.

Undoubtedly a bad and embarrassing defeat but the end scoreline didn't really reflect the game. Agree with Jampie it could have so easily have been very different but it wasn't. We lost and needed to bounce back against York under a bit of pressure as LW said, and we did.

    awesome.

I linked one of your reports to a friend of mine who follows weird premier league teams... he was very impressed and a bit shocked a team in the National League had such a site. Kudos!
