Great report as always, I was really looking forward to this one. It proves to me what I saw on the night, a very even game overall with Notts very much on top first 30 and Wrexham for 30 mins after half time. The almost identical xG shows how deluded Parkinson and Red Passion are with their comments about deserving a 3 or 4-1 win. Let’s continue to leave them to all the publicity while we quietly win the league.
Interesting, so on the stats it could easily have gone either way and they slightly outperformed us... except we could easily have scored a second goal before their first if they had scored a late one.
I feel like xg accrued earlier in the game is worth more...
When the xG is that close it really doesn't make a difference. Was always going to be a game of tight margins. Palmers one on one with our Sam the biggest chance they created. For us you had Macca and Nemane saved and cleared off the line and Ruben failing to get on the end of Scott's effort second half. Biggest credit to Notts has to be the back 3, Mullin had just one shot at goal and he was forced wide for that one. If we were going to look at it fairly you would say a draw would have been the right result.
