Thread: Hi, lads. Young Eddie seems to be winning you over.

    Hi, lads. Young Eddie seems to be winning you over.

    From the little you've seen so far, do you think he could have what it takes to cut it at the top level? Could he be replacing Auba/Laca in a few years? Any insights?

    Glad you're at the top of the table, and hope to see you playing us in the Prem next year.

    Too early to judge that Gampati, when he has played half a dozen full games [Which I am sure he will] then we will be in a position to supply an answer - until then, though he looks good - he hasn't had enough minutes on the pitch for a fair assessment.

    I am hoping that he makes the difference this season to get us up - if he does you may not get him back!!!

    Cheers, mate.

    Please do keep us updated.

    It was sod's law that we put him out on loan and Laca gets injured. If Auba goes too, we're screwed.

    I reckon the ideal world for us is he gets you up, and then we loan him to you for another season so he can have a full year in the Prem.

    We loaned out Andy Cole and let Bristol City keep him in the early '90s, cos we had Wrighty, Kevin Campbell and our Alan Smith.

    That worked out well for us. Not.

    From the little I've seen him play in pre-season and with you lot, this year he seems to have upped his ability to find space in the box, a bit like Auba does.

    But I'm glad he's started well for you. He's got me actively cheering for LUFC for the first time since you beat the Manc scum to the league when you had Cantona.

    To think you gave them Cantona and we gave them Cole. What were we both playing at?

    He's got two goals in the LC, hasn't he? Did he start both those?

    And two in 4 sub appearances in the league, I believe. Not bad for just 80 mins on the pitch.

    Seems to be working out pretty much perfectly. Bielsa's bringing him in slowly, but he's already got some confidence. Will be great to have another of the tradition big clubs back in the top flight.

    All the best.

    The lad has blistering pace that would frighten most defenders also the fact that if a defender gives a sloppy pace back he is right there. Reads the game very well and seems to have a sixth sense for where he needs to be. He seems to ooze confidence as well.

    As Tich has said need to see him start and go against fresh defenders from the start to give a full evaluation.

    But I think he has impressed virtually every Leeds supporter.

    Don't go asking for him back in January though.

    Thanks for that.

    No. We won't ask for him back in Jan. The deal was for a whole season, so you could play accordingly. Bit like we took the young lad from Real for the whole season.

    Didn' know he was that fast so cheers for the heads up.

    If this has any legs, it looks like they might just do that, and we end up facing him;

    Said weeks ago that he needed to be given real game time ( for the players sake, ours and that if Arsenal), instead we might just end up shooting ourselves in the foot (again!)😝😝😝

    Kinnear in the loans of Ben and Eddie;

    https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/l...lause-16941347

    All well and good for Ben, who has played quite regularly, but how can Arsenal be convinced that Eddie will "develop" when he gets so little 1st team game time?

    Don't think Kinnears rosy picture is an accurate one.

    More rumours in the sun today, I know it's the sun but there's an element of sense in it.... nketiah to be recalled in January by arsenal and loaned out to Bristol city. If indeed that happens no one can blame arsenal or nketiah, I'm sure that Muppet Johnson will indeed give him plenty of game time and young Eddie will bang the goals in, whilst we continue to wait for bamford to hit form, whilst being told his workrate and hold up play is excellent, so it maybe but he's paid to score goals, give Eddie the same patience and game time that you're prepared to give bamford Mr bielsa, otherwise it will come back to bite you big time.....or play them both.
