“There were numerous groups organising themselves to campaign for them to be made compulsory, they were the usual, lefty, progressive, virtue-signalling, pro EU, anti-Trumpers who overwhelmingly inhabit social media”. You are absolutely bang on sinkov. Theses groups have been foaming at the mouth since project Remain hit the skids and St Jeremy the Corbyn was trounced at the polls. They delight in posting FB messages every single day saying we have the highest ratio of Covid cases in the entire galaxy together with the deepest recession in the known universe. Frankly I don’t understand why, in the light of their constant message that this country is utter sh*te, people who have reached the promised land of the EU are desperate to pile into inflatable dinghies and imperil themselves and others by trying to cross the Channel. Perhaps I need to be sent to a camp somewhere for political re-education.

I can absolutely assure you Supersub6, one will not be emerging from the Labour Party any time soon. Starmer is a tad confused about his political role, he actually thinks and behaves like he is the Deputy Prime Minister and not the Leader of Her Majesty's opposition.

Best idea you have come up with in the last five years outwood!

BT--there has not been a leader for thirty years or more and, with society being as submissive as it is, I just can't see anyone coming to the fore in the next thirty years! Lots of individuals and groups are full of hot air, however, when it comes to the nitty gritty of putting up or shutting up, they fade into relative obscurity.
It would be interesting to be invaded by aliens, perhaps they would know just who the leader is!

Sir Keir sounds eminently sensible for a Labour politician BT, are you suggesting our children should not be returning to school ?

Exactly, sinkov, however, as we know, there will be plenty of lefties insisting that they should not return until it is 100% safe etc., etc. ad nauseam. I'm surprised that they teach Chemistry, Physics and Physical Education these days because the risks must be horrendous and rival playing conkers at school.

If safety really was the concern Sub, you'd never open any schools. No one can guarantee 100%, parent or teacher, that when a child leaves home in the morning, he/she will come safely back home in the evening.

That's a pretty sad indictment about contemporary society sinkov.

The point is sinkov he is singing exactly from the same hymn sheet as Blow Job who claimed it's a"moral imperative" to get the kids back to school, and then they can regally shaft the working class kids again with more fake exam results.
