Who thinks there will be players in?

So lots of talk but nothing doing, then reading between the lines of Cocu's recent statements it seems more than likely that we won't see any players in before tomorrow night.

Does anyone think there will be players in?

Hearing mumblings of Mike te Wierik, captain of Groningen. 6'2 and 11.5 stone CH. Right footed so would be for the Davies/Wisdom spot. No great goalscorer, 8 in 251 appearances in Holland. 3 yellows and 1 red so far this season.

Should help with the "playing out from the back" tactics.

Defensively a decent player more used to playing in tandem with his CD partner rather than alongside each other.

When we contracted "Zoon" I was negative about him. MtW could be a decent signing.

Should cost next to nothing which seems to be all we can afford.

Cost next to nothing? Sadly that means many bees buzzing round that honeypot

Just a guess but were Villa maybe in touch with Tranmere that they wanted to try to get him a spell at a higher ranked club and that is why Tranmere haven't picked him this month?

Not going to get excited. Come the summer, we'll be another CD down, so it is a priority area, as is keeper, CM, CF.....

Well according to the DT the loan for Hepburn-Murphy is complete...while according to Cocu it isn’t...yet. So who knows?

Agree with Adi about where we need to strengthen, but seeing as our immediate future is more likely to be decided off the pitch than on it, is this really the right time to start serious spending on ‘strengthening’?

Which CD will we be down come the summer Adi? Not Curtis Davies as his number of appearances this season automatically triggered a 1 year extension on his current contract.

Looks like Mike isn't coming till the summer now and this lad from Villa is apparently for the U23 and not the first team
