Have shankland back tomorrow if we could . Try couple young ones instead of some so called first team guys to create for Shanks confident with chances he will score

My understanding is a player can register for 3 clubs in a season, but can only play for 2 unless seasons overlap. Ie- if his current season finishes before he signs for the third team

Exactly, can only play for us and Beerschot between now and the end of the season

If the 2 teams thing is right...then this is a no brainer! Get him in on loan ..if he does well, we get first dibs if he struggles...then it's the Belgians problem. Shankland will do a turn for any team in the SPL.

This rule was actually scrapped last season to alleviate player unemployment concerns due to Covid. Not sure if its been re-instated this season.

If we pay a fee to bring him back do we still get a percentage of the sell on?

I've mixed feelings about Shanks coming back to Tannadice - part of me would love to see it happen but how often do these returns work out? Different player and personality but Goodwillie springs to mind.

Will end up at Hearts under RN no doubt, who he played his best football under

The thing is there's lots of folk think that Clark is premier class........but Shankland isn't 🤔
