    O/T Police Community Support Officers

Noticed in the past few days the reappearnce of some PCSO's in our city centre who had previously disappeared
Are these part of the extra 20,000 new police promised by BOZO?

Which city centre do you mean ? As for Barnsley , there is an increased number of Community based Support officers, just a waste of tax payers money , neither use or ornament , poor show , give em all kalashnikov rifles and shoot those that don't abide to our laws ! Why are they Community Based ? Are they actor's , pretending to be the police ?

Thuz been a trend of less-trained staff doing the work of fully-trained staff in the public sector because they are cheaper to employ and cover the recruitment problems-

PCSO's are covering the work of bobbies

Nurses are tekkin on more roles to cover the work of doctors

Teaching Assistants / Cover Supervisors are doing the work of teachers

Austrian players are filling the positions of proper Championship players

Disagree, they're a great asset if used correctly and seem to have more flexibility than Police Officers releasing them for more complex tasks. Good value for money as well, the fact that SYP have seen fit to re-introduce them is testament to that.

Agree with this. Although I do rate and value what PCSOs do we'd all like more trained professional Public Sector workers ( well I would).

Unfortunately since 2010 and the crash caused by the Financial Sector successive Tory govts have followed the austerity route and passed the cost of that crash on to the poor through cutting back spending on the Public Sector, Public Services and Welfare Cuts. A Tory govt doing what a Tory govt. does, protecting its class interest.
    It's called class war.

Agree with that Wardy but my intention was to simply ask the question as to whether these PCSO's are what BoZo meant when he promised 20,000 new Police

Right Right Right BoZo shyte has a far better ring to it ,don't you think?

Probably. It would be surprising if a Tory Prime Minister was willing to spend more on a public sector service than previously, they are ideologically predisposed to do the opposite. Margaret Thatcher would be turning in her grave at the thought of a Tory govt investing in public services.

And since when has BoJo told the truth ?
