    In response to your rather acquiescent approach Norder, I find the abuse the likes of Sterling get just for being black is pretty bloody awful. More wine bottles perhaps?
    could shout them down - turn our backs - or other - BT....but really, the clubs have clout enough, it's their property - their players - they can say who enters or doesn't....problem solved - and all without our involvement.

    That's as maybe BT, but the overwhelming majority of football fans do not abuse black players because of the colour of their skin, although they may well abuse them because they're ****e.

    Hi Alex. Survey done.

    The match I particularly recall was an FA Cup tie I attended in the 1980’s at Maine Road between Manchester City and Watford. The target of the racist abuse was John Barnes and he was subject to monkey chants and banana throwing. I doubt it was reported in the press at the time.
