He really struggles at the moment with a lack of confidence and defences sitting deep and is pretty much ran out the park when he does manage to run with it as hes making runs from the opposition edge of box instead of the middle of the pitch.

Where there is concern for me next season is with the manager and the way he handles personnel for the starting 11. He clearly has players he wants to play regardless of form or the way the opposition will play and that for me is worrying.... ie can you imagine Connolly at Park Head, he would be a red card waiting to happen and RN would play him even though he may have calmer options.
Think thats a wee bit harsh on Connelly, he has only been sent off once in his career (at Crawley Town), which includes 2 seasons at Kilmarnock.

I think its obvious watching him that hes an accident waiting to happen at times when hes riled up... which he would be as we are being over run against Celtic, either that or a penalty due to being all over players with shirt pulling as normal but he wont get away with it from the referees in those games.

Folk say he's like that but, ultimately, he really hasn't proven to be a liability in that way. Certainly not for us.

yeah hes actually been good the last few times iv watched him but for me, hes like that in standard games.... its the big occasions that get to him. He fell apart in the 2nd half up at ICT in the playoffs last season and was poor in the rest of them including his moment where he cost us to concede against St M and whilst it would be harsh to blame him for not being promoted that was the only goal St Mirren scored against us. The start of this season he was doing the exact same against Dundee and him going off changed the game in our favor. Hopefully hes over that now.. but we won't know I guess until the next derby if he can handle big games.

If only he would drive forward instead of looking for the safe sideways pass.
