    Notts 1 Aldershot 1 (Dennis)

After the Lord Mayor's show. Notts set up not to lose and end up scraping a point. I really hope I'm wrong!

Surely we can maintain the momentum. 2-0 Notts for me, Dennis and O'Brien second half.

I think our first home game after Sir Jimmy died was against Aldershot - we beat them 2-1 with a 90th-minute winner. Also have very fond memories of a 4-1 win in Warnock’s first season, when we were being introduced to the skills of Messrs Johnson and Draper.

Richard Butcher scored it, also no longer with us.
The next home game after that was Brentford, Jimmy's other team managed before he came to us. Strange how these things work out.

We're unbeaten in the last 7 home games against the Shots (including one League Cup tie), won 6 on the bounce before drawing the last one 0-0 in the Munto season.

The defeat at their place earlier this season was our first loss against them since 1969.

Tommy Lawton never managed to score against them, despite them being D3 South rivals. 4 for Jackie Sewell though.

We'll definitely win this one, they struggle to score, 8 blanks in the 12 away trips to reams currently above them.

    3-0 Notts

With the aspiration Notts have of finishing in the top three, draws are no longer acceptable. Given Ardley has stated that third is the minimum objective, and given we have a strong squad, then I expect us to win by two clear goals.
