Full backs- I’d go for Gerry Forest or Brecks,halfbacks not sure,Centre Half Stancliffe or Watson.Right wing Finney or towner, Left Wing Crawford,Inside Forward it’s got to be Alfie,Centre Forward King Ronnie all guess but I bet somebody will know on here.

Denis Leigh (left back) used to take penalties and free kicks - he probably got more goals than Johnny Breck, even though he didn't play anyway near as many games.

According to Wikipedia re League goals : J. Breckin 8, D. Leigh 10

Not an exact fit, but...
Inside forward was usually attacking midfielder /"Number 10" (ie not a lead-the-line big lad)
Half back was usually a defensive midfielder, wide(ish) in a "three"
