So for example it's just Somerset at home rather than home and away

Not great but at least it's something and every county will know what they need to do before the first ball is bowled
Good idea. Thats how it was in the old 18 team championship when you only played teams once.

They're certainly going to have to do something with baseball here. Normal season is 162 games and if they start as optimistically projected on May 15th then there's only 138 days before the World Series usually starts at the beginning of October. Bigger problem is probably related to the amount of cross country travelling that usually happens in 'normal times.

Is that 162 games per team. How long does a game take.

I was thinking the same. Can't see a cricket season taking place. New 100 over format will not even get off the ground either!!

The ECB look like they are focusing on the bigger money spinners as a priority. They will make sure the Blast and Hundred takes place.

If the Hundred doesnt go ahead this season and Sky with-hold the first part of the new TV rights money it cause the ECB huge financial problems and bankrupt many counties.

Yes, usually in a 183 day period. Average 3 hours. 81 home and 81 away.

Wow. They must be knackered at the end of the season.

Yes, especially when you consider most of the 21 days not playing are spent on an airplane. No wonder Cal Ripken is known as The Iron Man for his 2,632 streak of not missing a game over a 17 year period.
