A lot of mine been already mentioned, but some others,

Killing Zoe - a must see - still cite the line "you have to live life a little" in a french accent to this day
Battle Royale - the original Hunger Games
The Ring - due to the originality
    True Romance
    Inglorious B--tards
    Kill Bill
Once upon a time in America

But, I'd say, in the last 12 months there are two definitely in my top 10,

Once upon a time in Hollywood
    Parasite

Obviously Parasite only on at the fliks, which are now closed, but as soon as we past this period, I recommend it. Funny and really well directed with a good cast. Hadn't seen any of the actors before, but all seemed perfect for the role.
    Battle Royale is fantastic!

Wow, another thread full of some real gems.

    Have watched and forgotten so many great and truly dreadful films over the years but some of my favourites;

    Saving Private Ryan
    Forrest Gump
    Platoon
    Full Metal Jacket

    You get the gist.

The wife likes scary films so have watched a hell of a lot of these including all the Asian horrors that paved the way for films like The Ring etc.

Last night we entertained ourselves with Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys … I know, don’t ask!

That just reminded me, Apocalypse Now and The Deer Hunter!

As far as comedies go absolutely love any film with Will Ferrell in it, Blades of Glory a stand out example, also Ben Stiller and Adam Sandler.
