Masson was truly great of course but I think the key in the 70s and early 80s was the team strength generally. No megastars, but totally rock solid 1 to 11.

I suppose if you were going for the best ever, would that not be Lawton or Iremonger?

But seriously... Sol Campbell, Kasper Schmeichel & Jack Grealish

Sol wasn't at his peak for Notts obviously but the minute he turned out for us against Morecambe he became one of the most accomplished players to ever play for us with 73 England caps to his name and a great career in the top flight, presumably by far the most internationally capped player we've had?

Kasper is a Premier league winner, by far the best keeper we've had in 30 years (while I've been alive) and imo he was Premier league standard even back when he played for us in League 2, it was never in doubt imo.

And I can't imagine anyone has seen a more talented player than Grealish play for us in the last 30 years either, I don't have as much to choose from as some of our elder statesmen so seeing the likes of him, Ben Davies and Lee Hughes in Notts shirts has pretty much been the peak of watching Notts for some of our younger fans.
