most fruit pickers didnt pay tax
hence why the farmers wanted them
    cheap labour
same as daff picking round here at the moment

they say there was a shortage of pickers

ye the truth is the supermarkets didnt want them as they wanted to fill their shelves with food
so most the daffs been left to flower and the bulbs will be cultivated and sold

I see the PL players have put the Premier League to shame by replying to their proposals saying that :
    - 20 million isn’t enough to donate to charities fighting corona
    - 125 million isn’t enough to help the EFL and national leagues through the crisis
    - they also said that their 30% wage for 12 months would lead to a saving of 500 million but that 200 million of this would be lost tax revenue which could impact the nhs.

On the last one, they should make the 30% cut and then order the clubs to donate the 200 million to the cause.

Mike Ashley v everyone else = chalk v cheese.

    That raises a good point.

What are the uber rich doing at the moment apart from hiding in Florida and furloughing their staff right away?

Everyone is making sacrifices - mostly the ones who can't afford it. Footballers should too and we are not making scapegoats of them as Rooney thinks - we all are sharing this and they should too.

But what are the Ashleys, the Bransons etc doing? Billionaires who could make a difference and be heros.

Why not pay the missing tax?

I wouldn't advocate SD turn their hand to making ventilators though. I draw the line there.

I feel sorry for these billionaires, cooped up in the massive mansions with huge grounds to walk in, an endless supply of food and drink at their disposal and able to control their environment in a way we could only dream of.

    Envious much??

At the same time he has put all of his medically trained staff, which includes all airline staff, at the disposal on the NHS.

I'm sure our benevolant, caring owner will rush to do the same.

The majority of us have had to take a 20% pay cut no questions asked we just have to. But we are happy to 1 because we are not at Fu(king work so why should we earn a full wage, 2 because we hope in time it will help the country get back to where it needs to be. These guys on extortionate wages are only being asked to take 10 % more of a cut than us and are kicking up a fuss about it. It's a disgrace people like Rooney talking out against it. They should never earn the money they do for kicking a ball about. So for them to expect to still earn it when they are sat at home not playing or even training. They need a reality check.
