    P/L table now updated for games played 10th Oct.

    STOP THE PRESS!!!! Lolmorgan shoots up to =3rd having almost thrown the towel with his predictions.

    Pocket sinks his balls to hit rock bottom but where did you finish?

    x 3 winners on the goal bonus which certainly helped their cause.

    Check it out now!

    Right lads, I’ve had a few weeks to analyse this so here’s a suggestion.

    The goals bonus takes the skill element away.

    Take this onboard for next season or even consider earlier.

    Points per game same or even go 1 point home win, 2 points away win and 3 points a draw.

    Goals scored

    10pts

    +\- 1 goal - 5 pts
    +\- 2 goals - 2 pts

    3 jokers a season you can play = total double points

    1 joker fixture per week = double points

    Brin don’t shoot the messenger, just a suggestion and easy to follow.

    I think 😂😂

    Howdy, these were the ideas I was shouting out for, pre season kick off. Good by the way. Yes the goal tally may take some of the skill element away but that don't work in football. Who had Lincoln and Swindon as home bankers today?

    We can run with these, just more for me to monitor

    1 home
    2 away
    3 draw
    Plus I'll look to drop the goal bonus down to 5 points from 10. I like the idea of 3 jokers a season you can play = total double points.
    I'll have to keep a good eye on that one though, not that there be any skullduggery on this or I'll just simply cancel the cheat out

    The plus and minus from the goal difference is stretching it too far though and far too much to decipher.

    If anyone else would like to suggest any other ideas for next season, let's be hearing from you, the more the merrier IF they make sense and are okay to use. I don't want Frog saying triple joker points if he gets the goal tally right for a 3rd time!

    I'm not going to change anything now as the season is underway and we all knew the rules this season before a ball was kicked.

    I like to keep things simple Brin. For example here's the formula I use for my weekly goal prediction

    ((PGS/PGP)*PFTW)+((CGS/CGP)*CFTW)+((L1GS/L1GP)*L1FTW)+((L2GS/L2GP)*L2FTW)

    where
    P=Premiership
    C=Championship
    L1=League 1
    L2=League 2
    GS=Goals scored so far this season
    GP=Games played so far this season
    FTW=Number of fixtures picked by Brin this week

    Not working too well so far so I might need to make an adjustment

    I've thought of a new incentive for next season.

    5 bonus points awarded if, you choose one player only from your 10 predictions and that player scores a hat trick or more.
    I don't mind sifting through the results for this one as they will be few players achieving this.

    Any more ideas let me know so we can discuss them.

    What about when naming the amount of goals scored, forecast how many goals are scored from penalties for 5 points, so 5 pts for correct goal tally, & 5 points for getting correct forecast on penalties from 0 penalties onwards.

    Ericslad, I don't mind running this but that's stretching it too far fella.
