Opening a box of razor blades

Bought myself a new Gillette Fusion razor in the States as much cheaper than here. Just bought a box of blades. Tried to open the hard plastic box. Started by pressing the black button with some sort of spring mechanism above it. Failed miserably swallowed my pride and asked the wife to help with this simple task. Relieved when she couldn't open it either.

So I got a knife and tried to force it apart.

Then 2 knives and attacked it from both sides

Not man enough so got a small screwdriver and then a large screwdriver

All the subtle methods having failed I attacked it with a hammer. Cracked the box but not the problem.

Finally put it upside down in a vice and hacksawed thro' the hinges. Still couldn't work out how it was supposed to open.

Felt pretty hopeless until I googled it and found lots of posts with the same problem and this

I am old fashioned. I use a safety razor. Got one off Amazon for a tenner and that included the traveling case and mirror. One hundred blades for £9.99. Modern razors are a rip off and not very good.
