She needs down the airports and prevent incoming planes other than freight. I’m guessing with the allegations that have been made she will have been told strongly to keep her head down......... along the lines of “The public won’t respect the lockdown if they feel bullied “
perhaps that's whats needed a bit of strong arm tactics because alot of these bubblewraped ponces are thinking im alright jack, giving attitude to the coppers. times like these we shouldn't be putting sprinkles on bad news tell it as it is.

as to why we haven't heard from her god knows perhaps she has been told to keep her head down perhaps she thinks if she has to issue stronger police powers the fairies might accuse her of being a bully in a police state.
now the liberal media are try to get an exit date as to when this will end jeez as if they have a time machine anyone with a brain cell should know its going to be months from now.

    She's the Home Secretary ffs
Mind you the Tories haven't got the best record in choosing Home Secs

Home secretary Priti Patel has been accused by a group of senior MPs of avoiding scrutiny during a time of national emergency.

Ms Patel had been due to give evidence in public on the Home Office's response to the coronavirus pandemic to the home affairs select committee since January, but a date for a hearing is yet to be set.

Well telling it like it is cuts two ways .

There seems to be a pattern of behavior surrounding Patel .

The government have already paid out £25k to a civil servant who spoke out about Patel's behaviour and was having an effect on her mental health .

Allegations she threw a folder which hit another civil servant in the face during an exchange .

Allegations Patel has humiliated staff in front of the whole team calling them and I quote " fecking useless "

A senior civil servant has resigned recently with 30 years service behind him and will be taking the government to court and claiming constructive dismissal .

There's a significant difference between strong leadership and a bullying culture .

A bullying culture leads to poor performance within the workplace which isn't exactly good for that department or the country .

Home Secretary is one of the top jobs within Government and that job comes with expectations of good behaviour and strong leadership that inspires people to perform their duties to the best of their ability in the country's interest and not simply feed one woman's ego .

A Brexit supporting inside the PM's circle colleague isn't an endorsement to be Home Secretary .

If the cross party inquiry in to her behaviour proves the allegations then I'd expect the PM to ask her for her resignation .

If that doesn't happen and it's business as usual then that to me tells us what kind of government we have and will have consequences down the line and a gift to a new Labour Leader , especially one who specialises in human rights .

The Tories may want to consider whether she's worth the political damage .

Spot on Animal, shes got form for all of this stuff.

And for the record these are not stuffed shirt crinkly old civil servants who have been asleep in a corner for the last few years that she is offending. They don't exist in the modern civil service.

The report will be released when it is a particularly good time to bury bad news. Johnson will defend her and stick with her.

(Whatever happened to that report on Russian Interference in Elections and that report on Islamophobia in the Conservative Party ?)

Heard her on the Radio today being interviewed

She said she didn’t agree with some Police chiefs who wanted tougher lockdowns and they shouldn’t have the right to check your shopping and they shouldn’t be using heavy handed force where not necessary but if you’re breaking the rules don’t be surprised if the police turn up

Seeing a rise in online fraud and cyber attacks since the lockdown and other online crime

Looking at ways to support and help those involved in domestic abuse which has also risen

Said Yvette Cooper was playing part politics when all should be concentrating on the pandemic or something like that !!

Yvette Cooper is chair of the Home Affairs Committee who are conducting the investigation in to the allegations .

It might surprise Patel but there are actually other things in government that need to be done as well as dealing with the pandemic .

It’s the pandemic that Cooper is wanting to quiz Patel about via the Home Affairs Select committee not other things in government

It's the equivalent of hiding in a fridge to avoid scrutiny.

Good to see Dyno Rod have finally flushed her out and she is finally commenting on the biggest Home Affairs issue since WW2.

    Meanwhile Housing Minister Robert Jenrick........
