Always seems to be problems with new layouts.
Is it a blind spot? Maybe a speed hump is needed
Has anyone tried tried to join Centenary Way from College Road since they made it left turn only?
It’s a shocker! You have crane your neck right whilst negotiating a left turn. Once the traffic gets back to normal I can see plenty of rear end shunts there!

Not so much a blind spot but you really have to stretch your neck right to check for oncoming traffic whilst turning left onto a 40 mph dual carriageway.
It’s been awkward this week when the traffics been very light, going to be far more dangerous when the lockdown eases.
The one end of Main Street, near to the NYS is similar. Suppose at least you have the lights to give you half a chance of pulling out.
The whole of that new layout from College Rd to Ickles roundabouts is a disaster
Been on it the last two days. Attempted to go shopping yesterday but abandoned due to the queues at Parkgate.
Went agin today, successful this time. What I have noticed straight away is that the whole layout has been designed to get traffic out of the town asap which isn't a bad thing.
Greasborough Street outbound is now two lane but cuts down to one before you pass the turn off towards North Drive. This in effect will cause massive delays to drivers coming into the town centre wanting to use the new roundabout layout, as it is now a single lane. Furthermore, there is no right hand filter lane for anyone wanting to turn up Tenter Street, so again delays will be inevitable, as this will hold up traffic approaching the town centre.
One other factor is the layout has been changed immensely. Previously, when you approached the Town centre from Greasborough St and met the roundabout in the middle lane, this use to filter you around through the next set of lights where, if you remained in the middle, it put you on the inside lane heading out of town towards the NYS.
Now, you still use the middle lane to head towards the the NYS but, and here's the confusion. It also allows you to cut in as though heading for the town centre past the railway station, whilst allowing it to guide you to the inside lane heading out of town towards the NYS.
Immediately as you go through the lights, there is the new slip road to your left as shoppers leave the LIDL supermarket. Boy, can I see a few bumps there.
Just who plans this rubbish? All I can say is approach it all with caution....oh and be patient, you're going to need it at peaks times.
