    Football and Fairness

If that's what it's really about the season has to be finished...Celtic United and Cove will win their leagues and over the season that would be fair...but how anybody could think it's fair to relegate Hearts with the 8 games to be played 5 against the bottom teams...Inverness down to Morton in our league all have a chance of making the play offs....and to relegate Patrick would be criminal... League 1 is even tighter...no one knows when the football will start again so all this about sky calling the shots is pi sh...the games left to play can be played Saturday...Midweek then play offs could be completed in 6 weeks of the restart

And when do you propose these games are played?

Leagues would have to be played behind closed doors...until next summer or before, only if the vaccination is available before then.
I think a lot of clubs will fold before then. I can genuinely see the dundee teams being left with no option other than amalgamation by August.
I think for most teams, playing out the season to a finish is the best option...unfortunately, I think it's also the unlikliest!
Null and void means no prize money, playing it out will mean clubs needing to do it behind closed doors (my preferred option), finishing it now will keep clubs afloat.....but we would just be pushing the problem into next season.
Even if some of the restrictions are lifted in July....they are likely to return by the winter!
I can see Celtic changing their vote..just to try and end Rangers and kill off some if the other teams.

As far as clubs acting fairly...I think clubs will always vote withering own interests at heart...football is a business.
If rangers were at the top of the league..it would be different.....if hearts were second bottom on goal difference having played 2 more games....they would vote for it...if Dundee were top of the championship..they would vote differently!

It is only a matter of time before the OF start looking at this as an opportunity to get to england again!

The only fair way is to complete the league....but that won't be able to happen without a whole host of clubs going to the wall!

Every business in the world is currently in the same position...and football will be no different.

‘Football and Fairness’ - this from the supporter of a Club who shafted businesses, not once but twice to the tune of 6p in the pound having spent money that wasn’t their’s and THEN still were hard knecked enough to organise a ‘celebration’ of this in the Whitehall. Deary, deary me.

you do bring up some very valid points here - its an impossible position for the leagues to be put in to make a decision on really

To bring it right back coronavirus is calling the shots, everyone else is reacting and proposing solutions based on what's best for them and their employees, shareholder or loved ones, whether that be families, football clubs or companies. Totally understandable imo

However to do so and base any rationale or justification to deal with the current coronavirus repercussions on historical events is small-minded and selfish.

Wtf a goal that was given that shouldn't have been, a 6p in the pound settlement or whether your tangerine, blue, green shouldn't be a factor but some folk are stating these as reasons for their actions which being honest doesn't sit comfortably with me but hey that's just me.

Getting an outcome of fairness would mean all working together and putting all bias aside. Where divides exists that isn't going to happen voluntarily.
Those asking the questions when they themselves should know and enforce the answer is cowardly at best and reeks of incompetence.

    Rant over
