    Yes I care as its my good mates birthday today and he passed away last September from cancer. Great bloke and I miss him. Being St George's Day its a birthday I'll not forget, unlike the rest of my family.

    It always puzzles me why so many English folks celebrate St Patricks Day but don't bother with St Georges Day.

    If it was a national holiday as it should be it would get more notice.

    Australia Day was a fantastic event when I was in Perth in January 2019.

    I suppose if we had that here the middle class apologists would be out in force in support of the “demonised” few.

    September 15th Battle of Britain Day would be my choice for a public holiday. Undoubtedly our finest hour although it wasn't this Churchill was referring to in his famous speech.
