    Still going strong.

Turned down the job relocation, accepted another in Youth drug and alcohol addiction (what dya mean hypocrite? ). Basically what I was doing before with young offenders. Will be working in the south of a neighbouring County, more or less the same young people, running a team of 4. Can’t start till late September, the earliest, so on the dole for a few months.

    F u c k, I’ll be 56 a couple of weeks after I start, and likely 2st heavier

Impending restructure at work, will be quick but no detail as yet - feeling very unsettled by it and despite the pleasant surroundings of where I live, along with getting plenty of exercise I feel quite stressed and snappy when the plight of others is far worse than my own. The pandemic is the only thing in the news leaving all others issues in the background so running out of things to talk about.

I also see Branson's continuing with his galactic activity whilst laying off workers at VA....

    Glad you got sorted Exiled

The thought never crossed my mind Exiled. Seriously, I'm really pleased you got offered another job so quickly, albeit having to wait til September to start. At least it gives you a chance to enjoy the summer and plenty of ice cold Stellas in the garden.

I'm not surprised you feel stressed, Westy - those sorts of things are really unsettling. I always say there's only one poor person in the world who has the right to say "there's no-one worse off than me" - it doesn't invalidate our own experiences … I will keep everything crossed that it doesn't affect you too much. You are right, I think our worlds have become so small, and the virus dominates every conversation - it's sometimes hard to find the distraction we all really need ...
