A tremendous gesture today from Betty to not request the firing of the gun salutes in London this Tuesday to mark her birthday. Thank you Maam.
It would have meant three guards crouching in close proximity to each other to fire each gun and may have attracted crowds.
It is also pleasing to see the royals have distanced themselves from each other--
Betty and Phil have travelled to Windsor
Wills, Kate and the kiddies have travelled to Sandringham in Norfolk
Chaz and Camilla have travelled to Balmoral in Scotland
The whereabouts of Andrew is unknown but he is said to be still distancing himself from young people.
