Do you think a 20 year old with only 15 professional football appearances is ready to be our midfield saviour?

Maybe nt saviour. Bt from what I’ve seen of him I think he cld do a job for us. Remember Souter Gauld armstrong Robertson GMS etc and what can be done under the right management. We are crying out for creative midfielder.

He possibly could do a job for us. I was replying to ARAbCHINDs 'he's 20 so what's the big deal' type response? Age isn't the upmost concerning factor for me. I'm very much of the opinion if you're good enough, you're old enough, but it's a big move for the boy if we're asking him to be the lynchpin of our team when he was deemed not good enough for Ross County 8 months ago. And if we are signing him with a view to developing him, I'd have to ask why we're contemplating paying a fee for a boy like that when we need signings for the first team.

The thing is that for every one of the above there is always a Charlie Telfer. You just never really know exactly how it’s going to turn out as players of that age as yet have no proven track record so there is always a risk over what you’re going to get. We’re just going to have to go with the manager’s judgement but this week I would say that finalising Safranko is the priority.

Either way we need transfer movement this week with the emphasis on ensuring Safranko is a United player by the end of it. The time for evaluating the playing resources available and judging what is needed extra has passed. Better player resources need bringing in as a matter of priority now.
    bang on, great post

im worried we're only looking at 'future' guys with a view to develop and sell on, thats not our priority first team and staying up is
