Correct. What this is saying is that he wouldn't be an improvement on Pawlett. I find that hard to believe. Tbh I'd be an improvement on Pawlett...and I haven't played since 1958 😁

I don’t see it this way.

The lad has started 1 professional game in his career and it was 2 years ago against the Leicester under 21s in a diddy cup down south.

The deal would’ve been done pre-lockdown but Mellon quite rightly wanted to see for himself. He only signed 5 weeks ago and with no reserve league or bounce games it’s very hard to get minutes into him especially when the first team has been struggling. The loan is only until Janaury so this allows him to go and get 10 games or so under his belt in a competitive league while continuing to train with us full time and get up to speed. A good decision imo.
