There are 11 constituencies in Surrey and, erm, a nil Labour mp count. For our sins we give you Raab, Gove, Hunt and Grayling amongst others. But one is black and (at least) one is gay: so we are representative!

Wrong as usual Swale, actually check the uni advice on univerities.ac.uk before going off on one, I’ve done so extensively with my niece and the students concerned were ignoring the advice contained therein.

Even worse, I am going to back you up with that old chestnut, common sense. I know many on here don't always show it but most have it. Now, using CS, let's look at the scenario and come to a conclusion as to what we, as individuals, would do in the self same circumstances.

As much as I love my dear lady wife, if she tested positive I wouldn't break any of the CV-19 laws, rules, regulations or advice until such point as she was no longer infectious. Turn the tables and she would do the same.

IMO, from what little I know of my fellow posters on here, I am of the opinion you would all do the same.

Back to the 2 students, they showed absolutely no common sense and they also ignored the rules. 2 mistakes, not just one.

Not sure how you reach that conclusion? On what basis and using what facts? Were either of them infected? No so if from same flat no need for masks or social distancing from each other and outside you don't need masks anyway and social distancing was observed with respect to the reporter who wasn't in the "bubble".

As for your scenario - not sure how its relevant, if one of you was infected you'd observe self isolation presumably.

... and with regard to my scenario, I was making the point that, if you know someone is CV19 positive, you would, presumably, socially distance from them, a spouse, a roommate, whoever....... wouldn't you?

Unless you decide that, like "chicken pox clubs" in primary schools, you are young and fit and believe by getting it you will gain immunity....
