He first worked for Iain Duncan Smith, who he described as incompetent. He then worked for Michael Gove at the DoE before becoming Director of the ‘Vote Leave’ campaign and Johnson’s chief advisor.

As regards Coronavirus he is alleged to have been a supporter of the ‘herd immunity’ strategy and advocated the adoption of that strategy as our first responsibility is to ‘protect the economy and if that means some pensioners die, too bad’!

He is undoubtedly a very clever - if equally flawed - human being. His areas of expertise are history and politics.

So what the hell is this unelected and unqualified individual doing on a group which is made up of Scientific and Medical advisors?
Listening to scientific and medical advisors?

I’m not even going to read past the first post Somy opinions not coloured. The reason ANYONE might be put onto a team of scientists who need to achieve a result is that clever as they are, scientists DONT HAVE ALL THE SKILLS needed to deliver. Teams need a mix of skills, and usually a ‘buck stops here’ person. I personally couldn’t give a **** about him as a person if he leads delivery, in my years in business I’ve worked with any number of arseholes who just happened to also be **** hot at their speciality, especially leadership. If you want a lovely person who would be out of his/her depthinstead there are thousands

Not sure about that Adi don't seem like a cricket lover to me. I much prefer Cameron's description of him before he sacked him " A career psychopath " makes more sense to me 😊

Can’t argue with that...simple question though. What qualifies a guy who’s specialisms are history and politics to take part in a scientific and medical group? I’m not providing the answer...just asking the question, not because I think the guy is a ‘arsehole’ - as you put it - but because I don’t know where his credibility comes from.
