when the news broke 6/7 weeks ago, Mike Ashley was wanting to go public with it then.

Th Saudi's stopped the announcement as its their way, to let the deal be completed and monies transferred before they go public with any of their deals.

Last wed/thur, the reports came out that it had been passed the premier league tests (even sky were saying it at one point)

my hope is that it was true and they were just waiting for the funds to clear, which im led to believe take about 2 days, with the bank holiday, tomorrow could be the day

maybe im clutching at straws like

One thing that's absolutely clear in my mind is that if it wasn't us, it would have been done by now.

And another thing is clear....but, then, it's always been the case with us....absolutely nothing is ever fucking straightforward when Newcastle United are involved.
