Whats winding me up now more than the 14 weeks that this has been going on, is the behaviour of the Premier league. Yes I understand confidentiality but updates can be passed to fans without breaching confidentiality, even simple time scales or how far along it is.

Instead they act like some sort of illuminati, thinking they don't have to communicate or answer to anybody.

This lot need to remind themselves without the fans masters and Co wouldn't be taking home their fat salary.

That's very well put. Maybe it's not actually the case but it certainly feels as if they're looking down at us, sneering, and that they couldn't give a shit about us.

In the same way the Man City fans boo the Champions League anthem, I think there will be a lot of bad blood between us and the Premier League when this is all over. How-and if-that manifests itself, I don't know but their lack of communication, to me, speaks of their contempt for us...and that is a feeling which is fully reciprocated as far as I'm concerned.

It just stinks of arrogance and wanting to be the ultimate secret club.

Just now masters has told the committee multiple times he won't comment on a takeover. His expressions were full of arrogance when saying this. But then when asked about piracy he went on to give answers.

Does this now mean that piracy isn't whats holding up the decision as he commented on this, and if it was an issue with our takeover then he wouldn't of???

The PL have a tough job on their hands. They have to weigh up the risk of accepting the large brown envelopes they’ve been offered to block the deal against having the boll*cks sued off them if they do, in which case the whole house could come tumbling down.

How long have the Premier League been trying to get a piracy case heard in the Saudi Courts? Left with no recourse in the Kingdom so they had to cry to the WTO.

Is it really a surprise that the Premier League are going to take their sweet time, make them sweat and jump through flaming hoops before approving the deal?

Just think about it from their point of view.
    1.Someone has stolen from you

    2. For over a year they have blocked your attempts to get to justice via quisling lawyers and subterranean machinations.

    3. Now they want to become a shareholder at your company which you are unable to legally prevent but you can certainly obstruct the glidepath with hurdles and flaming hoops.

Would you Instantly approve the deal or would you make it difficult and enjoy watching them sweat as a form of revenge?

Before answering Remember now.....you’re only human after all.

It’s unfair on Newcastle fans but when one is seeking some form of vengeance they don’t care who gets hurt along the way. The delay sucks but logically it’s totally understandable.

New angle on the takeover from Twitter:

"It appears only remaining hold up with NUFC takeover is Man Utd's sponsorship deal with Saudi Telecom (PIF own 70%), which PL insist must end prior to approving the takeover. Likely to end 31st July, but only on the proviso PL give provisional approval on those terms."

Not sure which Twitter account that's from, though.

That sounds stupidly bizarre yet at the same time makes sense. . .

Just want it done and sorted.
