Incidentally before that 3-1 v Arsenal (which I agree must be the best performance & result at Millmoor) - the round before we beat Hartlepool 5-0 at Millmoor.

    Nice team Hartlepool.

True, I remember both games clearly and fondly. But must be noted that Chelsea were a shambles that season, whereas Arsenal in 78 were a team full of internationals on top of their game.

    Millers SIX Hereford 0
    29/04/89
Buckley 2, Goodwin, Hazel, Haycock, Williamson

Millers were promoted as Division 4 Champions a few games later
Don't think Haycock ever scored four goals in a Millers game
(Goater , Gilbert and Glover did though)

You might be getting Hereford and Hartlepool games mixed up

Not as good as some that have been mentioned because of the opposition but four goals in 12 mins or so is impressive by any standards

Difficult to pick just one over the past sixty years.

Home game v Plymouth in 80/81, King Ronnie and Rod Fern for a 2-1 win.
We pipped Barnsley for the title as well......

    Almost 11,500 in Millmoor.

It is difficult to pick just one- there were some Millers goal gluts (sometimes completely unexpected ones), sometimes the Millers performed excellently when the pressure was on in a lower-scoring game. For sheer entertainment , Millers 6 Cardiff City 4 (11/09/65) has got to be in the running.
