Just been reported on Sky News that 3 teams will be relegated from Premier League & 3 promoted from Championship according to the F.A. chairman.

Maybe so, and great (maybe) for Leeds, but thats just re-stating what usually happens, its the "how do they establish which teams" that will be the "interesting" bit

They said that the intention was to finish the season with games played behind closed doors & if for whatever reason this is deemed not possible then points per game average will be used to determine final standings.

All premier league clubs have voted against playing on neutral grounds and will ask the government to alter their stance on neutral grounds..

I doubt that will happen as it will encourage crowds to gather, doubt they will allow parades for Liverpool if, ok when they win the league

I still don't understand the absolute insistence on having to finish this season 'by June 30th' (or sometime around then). Sure I understand player contract issues could arise, but surely that could be managed with a little bit of flexibility? Given it's almost certain there will be no fans allowed in grounds until autumn, and quite possibly later, then next season is not going to be able to start 'normally' anyway, so everything is going to have to be drastically rearranged anyway regardless of what happens.

So why not just say either as soon as it's safe to do so games are restarted behind closed doors, or restarted once fans are allowed back in, even if that's 2021, and if that means playing 8 or 9 games over five or six weeks then taking a two (or three?) week break then starting the new season after that then fine. After all, the players will have had a huge break anyway, so no real difference in terms of workload. And if workload is a real worry scrap the League Cup for one season. They could also just move the transfer window accordingly if that is seen as a problem.
