Thread: O/T birds

  1. #1

    O/T birds

Definitely an increase in numbers and variety around the bird-table in recent weeks.

Magpie, pigeon, blue tit, long tailed tit, Robin and many more all at the same time this evening.

    Anyone else noticed?

Yesterday a pigeon fed, perched & shat on our garden bench before taking its leave [dirty barsteward]
Wife said I'll get some toilet paper but I said nah it'll be miles away by now

Even had a woodpecker swinging of a small bird feeder, a pair of pied wagtails regular visitors and 1 Jay made a brief visit. The cuckoo has been around here for a week, along with the first swallows.

Two Blackbirds nesting at the bottom of our garden, a four egger.
Looked like today they have hatched out, mum and dad in and out of the bushes feeding.
Plenty of other species round the birdtable as well.

Two pesky wood pigeons that we can't get rid of.

    Nice one Lincs, beautiful scene.

Do you think it is unusual for this year?

Or is it because we are at home more and noticing it?

Well IBS I’ve been retired a while but we have noticed a lot more activity with the wildlife, a wood near us has a few Muntjac deer, normally they are very timid but they are appearing in the village at all times of the day
