    Virgin Atlantic On The Brink

Could not have happened to a perfect person or one greedy **** worth billions who should use his own assets!

No tears from me for a declining brand whose standards have slipped over the years! Even the cabin crew have got porkier over the years! Need lessons from Emirates!

At least some good news to come out of this chaos then.

Ryanair will no doubt emerge laughing as always.

Another Micky Mouse airline! Charging for every inch of luggage is scandalous! They should charge extra for any person who can't fit in their seat and makes the passenger next to them uncomfortable! Charge 2 seats if you are Diane Abbott size! Fair's fair! Branson took his eye of the ball or skirt - I remember cabin crew being size 10/12 - now many are size 16/18!

Lessons to be learnt again from Emirates

O Leary makes a very good point in relation to Branson.......Ryanair because of the profits they have made can get no help in this environment...because they have had success in carrying people around..Virgin hasn't...and now want to be subsidized by tax payers....Quite arrogant and scandalous if it gets approved.
Then you have the other shyte air carriers Air France/KLM...getting huge hand outs.......to big to fail...utter shyte....
This is where it gets very tricky for many governments now.. The collapse of 2008 is still fresh in people's minds...broken homes, reposed homes, suicides... the fall out continues...while CEO's have gloried in their bonuses.......this is where Covid-19 starts to get interesting........interesting times a head...

The airlines think the world owes them a favour and want saving because they can’t last a few weeks due to operating a cr@p business model. They use today’s revenue to pay yesterday’s debts. How many employees of these companies stop to think of the small business owner who’s facing an uncertain future?

As for O’Leary. Words fail me. He’s in the press saying various airlines are breaking EU Law by getting bailouts whilst sitting on a cash mountain of €4Billion yet sticking two fingers up to EU law by refusing passengers refunds. Given many people are in real need of cash they are owed in this current crisis this complete as*hole has zero moral compass.

I wouldn’t fly with his scummy airline based on previous but having treated my partners daughter to a ticket for a birthday present she wanted I’m now trying to get my cash back and have involved Mastercard as Ryanair are breaking EU law with their new refund policy of waiting 12 months instead of the legal 7 days.

Can only say Ryanair truly are the most contemptible bunch of lying scum I’ve encountered. Each email from them is designed to lie, frustrate the customer and to stick two fingers up to the EU law that O’Leary quotes when it suits him.

O’Leary is up there with Mike Ashley and a few others who have done nothing but look to exploit people in this current crisis.

    O’Leary really does revel in being a total b a s t a r d mate.

You pretty much need to have sadomasochistic streak to fly with that lot.

At least Stelios has always robbed everyone with a smile rather than a sneer.

I flew Emirates to Australia and they were excellent on the flight but rubbish at customer service in Dubai.

I’m longing to get back to Australia and give NZ a go as well but I’d want to go for three months and I don’t think the wife will do that long.

Can’t even get to Tenby at present FFS 🤡😫

I`ve only flown Ryanair once never again, but he tells you what your going to get, so you pays your money and you get what you pay for.

The lockdown will sort a few airlines out BA, Virgin, Thai, Air France to name a few all top quality carriers in the day, but now the service has been well and truly taken over by Emirates Qatar and Etihad.

Good points mate. I refuse to fly with Ryanair as O'Leary seems to hold his customers in complete contempt which filters down to the staff he employs. I bought my partners daughter a ticket as a birthday present as she was going with her mates for a weekend away. Time won't allow to explain how they've acted but its been nothing but lies, stalling for time and going back on commitments to refunds. A mate of mine was quite high up in Worldpay who provide payment gateways for many large companies. He said within 48 hours, Ryanair could implement a fully automated refund process if they wanted to so all this guff that they can't refund for 12 months is purely to exploit their customers. Remember, this is the company who sell their own in flight lottery tickets in the name of 'charity' but only give 0.3% actually to charity. No one has ever won their lottery either. According to William Hill, the odds of winning the Ryanair lottery are 8 times higher than wining the National Lottery. Shows what a lovely company they are. I tend to use Jet2 where I can for short haul European flights. Found them very good and reasonable and above all, friendly. Done 3 long haul flights with BA. Never had a good flight. The staff come across as they're doing you a favour it always seems to me.

I beg to differ Stripes, flown quite a few times to The States with BA to visit our sone and have never had a bad experience, last year my wife had a bad turn on the plane and the staff couldn't have been more attentive and helpful, they messaged ahead and arranged for paramedics to board the plane and take my wife off before even the first class passengers and they then wheelchaired her through to were our sone was waiting for us.

Bang on there Stripes. Jet 2 are decent and what you see is what you get with bubbly staff. I hate BA as they are in a time warp with snotty staff and do need lessons from the likes of Emirates for customer service.

I have only just got a refund from Jack Wills after 3 months ( now owned by Ashley ) for a product that did not arrive and they tried every trick in the book not to pay. They woke up when I sent them an official intent to sue letter.

Absolute crooks and would dump Ashley, Branson and O'Leary on the same bonfire! I always find those with very little are far nicer, genuine and nicer people in life, than those with!
