    Isn't it about time......

..... that football stopped 'faffing about' and came to a decision regarding the 2019-20 season? We keep going around in circles with differing ideas and opinions as to what should happen being banded about. It's about time a final decision was made so that everybody knows where they stand. I don't think that it will be practical to complete the season as there are too many difficulties to overcome. Having said this, a decision has to be arrived at so for goodness sake the authorities have to 'bite the bullet' and get on with it. I fully realise that whatever decision is arrived at some clubs, and it could be us, will suffer, but unfortunately that's the way it is!

In fairness to the FA and Premier League, I think that they are waiting on Boris's speech tonight to decide whether any relaxation of the lockdown would make it any clearer on whether we could finish the season.

I’m sure, one way or another, the economy has to be set moving a a bit more. Let’s not forget that many of the country’s lowest paid workers, seen NHS staff and careers, along with bus drivers, binmen, etc, etc, have been working all through. My son goes into work at least two days a week and works at home for the remainder, so I find it somewhat irksome when I hear footballers saying that they are frightened to go back to work; Sergio Aguero, take note! At some point, probably sooner rather than later, the economy needs to begin recovery, that means as many people as possible getting back to work; why should those poor footballers be any different, the exchequer needs their taxes!

I’ve just had my vat quarter figure and the money due can be deferred due to this crisis but I’m paying mine on time tomorrow.

Same with tax due in June and July.

If you can pay it you should,it’s as simple as that.

Will be interesting to see after this chaos gets under control whether people will still put pointless celebrities, not so pointless celebrities and footballers on pedestals like before or whether there’s a shift in attitude and appreciation towards those who really deliver value in society.

The finances are so f hooked anyway I hope they give the nurses and lower paid staff a massive rise as we won’t notice it with the deficit being so huge.

Wouldn’t it be nice to see the return of the milkman and bread-man etc as well.

Out here in the sticks we have a great relationship with our postman and the wife always gives him £20 at Xmas and we pay the bin men for taking away excess rubbish.

It’s like the 1970’s still on our patch and I love it.

When the lockdown started my daughter arranged for a milkman to call here. Opening the front at 6:15 am and finding fresh bottled milk on the step has been so convenient.
