About a year ago during the week I was walking up Dens Road at the corner with the foot of Provost Road when I was just about wiped out by a idiot aged about 15 years old cycling his bike down the pavement on Provost Road.
It was quiet with little traffic on the roads but this halfwit was still cycling on the pavement.
When did this nonsense of kids aged 13 and over plus adults cycling on the pavements instead of the roads start.

Re cycling on the pavement it is very simple you should not do it BUT remember a lot of pavements are actually designated for pedestrians AND cyclists. They are clearly marked and there should be no confusion. When cycling on designated cycle/pathways is does annoy me when you give a quick ring of your bicycle bell to warn of your approach or to ask for enough room to pass (as you are supposed to do) many pedestrians actually spread out to make it more difficult for you to pass and dish out some 'choice' abuse. There are inconsiderate cyclists but pedestrians are not blameless. A bit of consideration from both is all that is required.

They would have recorded your death as covid.

In my opinion it high time for the police to charge people cycling on pavements that are not designated for both use by cyclists and pedestrians.

There's a helluva lot of wobbling all over the road. Looks like a lot of women of a certain age who havnae seen a chopper for years are back having a wee ride.😁

Too busy patrolling park benches and the internet.

Two of them were parked up on pitempton rd for over an hour today, doing the square root of Ryan Conroy on at wet weds at central park.

In the hour one did move his size 10s from the dash back into the well but apart from that all looked well in their world.

On a serious note again it looks like more people out and about, the more that do this the sillier the rules in Scotland will look and I can get back to walking around empty fields hitting a wee ba a boot.

Getting busier by the day mate. They must realise by now that people just want to get back to normal as soon as possible. And - this 'new normal' they keep talking about will just never happen IMO. People are trying to get back to 'old normal' already so I can see things just being exactly as they were as soon as golf courses, tennis courts, football pitches, restaurants and (most importantly) pubs are open again.

The whole thing will be forgotten by the populace within months - until election time of course and, for me, that's what they fear most.
