clickbait that government to intervene in NUFC takeover

    just like the title says.

More clickbait from the papers to sell their rags.

    1) Government have already said they will not get involved
    2) Government will not get involved
    3) MP in the foreign office specifically thanks Saudi Arabia for their generous donation of 500m to help fight covid 19 and develop a vaccine

    4) Government will not get involved

There’s an interesting article on Forbes. Highly respected financial magazine.

I think there’s a real chance the deal gets blocked on grounds of piracy.

Just thinking about it from a personal level, would you endorse someone to join your country club when you know they have been stealing from you? He’ll No!

what they might have "stolen" are peanuts in comparison with what is about to flow into PL and NUFC and what GB is going to lose if the deal gets blocked.

in order for the deal to get blocked on piracy grounds will take cast iron proof that the Saudi PIF was behind it.

This has already been to court and yet there is too much circumstantial evidence and no cast iron proof.

A country like Saudi who genuinely rule by elimination of anyone who stands in their way, will be extremely difficult to get proof against.

Even the tv companies that have raised the same issue have been shown up to have been more involved in the piracy than the Saudi's were.

Its pretty much nailed on that they have been involved and knew about what was going on, the trouble is proving beyond any doubt that they were behind it.

How long do the FA have to grant the deal before it starts to become something bigger than it is? After 2 months the FA will be in a position of weakness if they cant produce sufficient proof of why they are holding back.

The Saudi lot can then play the race card etc etc , "all the kick it out" stuff will be thrown in the face of our footballing governing body.

in all honesty Zip, i can see the Premier League and Sky making millions more from streaming.

The plans are to have games played behind closed doors Fri, Sat , Sun & Mon ( 3 on Sky and 1 on BT )
The rest will be streamed live for free on you tube or something like that.

I pretty much garuntee that soon all games will be streamed live for a fee or pay per view

The Saudi's have already been to court in France, They had evidence it was a couple of Egyptians working in Kuwait that were pirating the games.

We'll see what happens but they have to make a decision soon. To let it drag on any further suggests they are doing their best to block the deal.
