Shelvey: I should've stayed at Liverpool

Yes. You should. Then you would have never joined us where you've been an expensive(!) disappointment on all levels.

Am I too tough on Shelvey? In my eyes, he hasn't been a revelation at all. 1 good game per 7-8 games is simply not good enough.

Yes, only when he feels like it. Thats why Liverpool wanted him out.

I think he's been a good player for us but he's not been as consistent for when we need him.

As Bill says, it's why Liverpool wanted him out.

When we bought him there were certainly better players we could probably have gone for. . . these days though. . .

He has the tools, but forgets to bring them into work most weeks.

Shelvey has shown exactly why he's with us instead of Liverpool. If he played anywhere near his best on a consistent basis he'd still be there-some of the performances we've seen from him have been fantastic but, as we all know, he hardly ever brings his 'A' game. He's too often a 5 or 6 out of ten player when he has the abiity to be an 8 or 9 out of ten player. Similar to Hi, Fans, in a way although I think Shelvey has a footballing brain whilst hifans doesn't.

I've seen him in the press being ever so nice to fatso...hedging his bets in case he's still the owner when football starts again.

True. If he doesn't improve his consitency he may not get the chance to be be two faced about the new owners or managers.

Can we release this guy please?

He doesn't have the mentality or motiviation of a winner. End of Story!

He'll always be turn up 5 out of 38 games a season type of player. Not good enough!

    Injuries or Red Cards.

Advice focus on your game and talk when you have achieved something in the game.

Best advice you could give him. He had a go at Rafa saying "You never knew what Rafa was thinking" - well here's a guess as to what Rafa was probably thinking: "You're average and overpaid".

ooof thats a bit harsh like Kev. Those two have not had a full season to get used to the english game. Shelvey has played all of his football in the UK and for good sides too. Both are more exciting than Shelvey too
