    O/T greedy coogan

What an hypocrite this geezer is.This lefty.libby luvvie with assets of over ten million, decided that we the tax payers can pay for his gardener and housekeeper, at his four million pound Sus*** home.A BBC regular, who has constantly told us of his socialist views,(preaches it but does not practise it),especially during the election time. We, who voted to leave the corrupt EU, were told we were stupid.Along with his fellow" socialist"remainiac elitist friend Hugh Grant, campaigned but failed to convince the voters who could see them for what they are.How ironical that Coogan plays a starring role in the film GREED which allegedly is a satire about the scoundrel Philip Green. Not much to choose between 'em,both have acted disgacefully.

    He's always been a bit of a bell-end.

"24 Hour Party People" was described as "the biggest **** in Manchester played by the second biggest."

Not the first example of his hypocrisy either, he was railing against Rupert Murdoch and the press while Alan Partridge was on Sky One and his Alan Partridge books were being published by Harper Collins, which is also Murdoch-owned.

I get the feeling all he really cares about is £££

If he is an employer who is likely to lose income due to Coronavirus and make cutbacks accordingly, why shouldn't he use a tax payer funded scheme for its intended purpose? He is a tax payer after all, being left wing doesn't mean he operates in an alternate business reality.

Get the distinct impression you're more concerned with his leftist leanings than his actions with his employees
I do think he is wealthy enough to pay them himself however
BTW who's doing his garden & houseleeping now

I'm a bit confused by this. Are these domestic staff at his house? If so, what has that got to do with a business? And has the garden stopped growing and the house stopped getting dirty as a result of the virus? I thought the furlough scheme was for businesses who had employees who were no longer able to do their job, or not needed, as a result of the virus.

I've just looked this up. Apparently it's because they can't do their job and socially distance. I've seen some pictures of his house. I think they could.

The mansion is in 75 acres of land he owns. How can his gardener not abide to social distancing?

    Don’t understand this at all.
Are they full time working for him or self employed?

Always makes me smile on here posters who are critical of greedy "left wing" folk (rightly so by the way) but are totally uncritical of greedy right wing folk. Yes have a go at Coogan but why not have a go at the Murdochs of this world? If you don't this makes you hypocritical as well...just a thought for balance...
