As I already said I agree with your comments on Corbyn but the choice was between Very bad and dangerously bad, Corbyn being the dangerous one. Boris the incorrigable inveterate, opportunist liar can't be trusted. As for being a patriot, I presume you are referring to Brexit, well Boris was a staunch remainer under Cameron until the referendum. In fact Cameron was astounded by his sudden change of stance.

May got herself elected to carry out Brexit after voting against it and Boris saw his opportunity to jump in knowing May would fail.

Neither Johnson nor Corbyn could be trusted with a rational person's vote.

It's like being given the choice of "How do you want to die, by poison or a bullet" with those two. No thanks I'll vote for old age.

My take on it was that Boris was expecting Brexit to fail and by supporting Brexit, he could be the "Prince over the Water" for the Tory party. Sweep up that side of hte party vote on the way to leadership and if ever pushed could say "well the people have voted".

I don't think he ever expected leave to win.

Well for a "patriot" Johnson is proving to be a very indecisive and weak Prime Minister.

I've followed every election since Labour's win first election after the war and there has been many good candidates for the position of Prime Minister from both parties and many poor ones, but over this period of 75 years I have never know any election to have two such poor choices for the top position in our country. To my mind they were both disgustingly poor candidates for such an important position at this time.

    Precisely this.

Personally I would regard Corbyn as the more dangerous of the two, but at the same time there were far more moderate centre left labour M.P's to keep him in check where as Boris, the darling of the blue rinsers, could get away with almost anything bearing in mind he duped and conned with downright lies, duplicity and double standards his own party's naive supporters as well as a lot of former staunch Labour voters.

Had Corbyn done the honourable thing and stepped down well before the election and allowed a real, genuine Labour politition, as is Kier Starmer, become leader then the election outcome would have been totally different.
