Vast amount. And some mixtures from a tenner upwards.
And tips how to grow them .
Had a great response to the "flower' thread, so I thought I would throw this one out there to all the green fingered millers. I am currently working on a rockery, can you suggest any plants? What are your favourites?

Hebe 'Magic Summer'

Never had too much success, primarily due to rabbits here.
True heathers (pretty rabbit proof)
Aubretia
Primroses/Primula (some nice rare alpine varieties as opposed to the bright, mass produced bedding plants)
Hardy succulents do well in gravel/rocks.
Got a few. Don't know any names. So not very helpful .
One that was everywhere in the 70s/80s is white Allison.
Periwinkle.
Can't go far wrong with Periwinkle, red, white and blue colours.
Can get a little invasive, just clip it back after flowering.
Allysum ( spelling ? ) is another easily grown ground cover plant also in different colours.

Small ferns are a good call.
Campanula, dianthus and viola will all do well and give great colour (especially when mixed with whites like allysum, saxifrage or candytuft.)
A lot depends on whether it's a shady or sunny spot. (Most of my suggestions other than ferns prefer full sun.)
Just checked and it looks like periwinkle is what English gardeners call vinca. Is that right CAM? Not having gardened much in UK, I was a bit puzzled by C64F's reference to periwinkle.
For some reason, vinca/periwinkle doesn't grow very well in my garden - probably too shady. (Sounds like a blessing from what you're saying!)
