I don't think there's any doubt about its authenticity, to be fair. If this fails it won't be down to fatso; in fact he'll be gutted as I think he needs the cash.

I just think this might be it for a lot of fans. Putting up with Ashley is one thing...but to have something of this magnitude dangled in front of us then snatched away? I think that will break a lot of people's spirit. Ashley's time here has pushed a lot of people to the edge...this might push them over.

It will go through. For the sake of the question though, fans won't need pushing over the edge if the PL block it. Ashley's fire sale of players will do that. If he loses this sale, he will get the money some how.

It has to be the Premier League causing this delay.

This is a bit of pragmatic research and positivity.
    Aye that is decent.

    He makes some good points.

As I said earlier, this whole thing has been about that reporter being able to go to his editor and say "look how many clicks i get".

Hence why he has backtracked today, so he can't be sued or hit with any legal action.

I genuinely believe the Premier League are drawing things out as long as they can hoping that somebody will come up with something that means they can block it....like a kid holding onto the present in a game of pass the parcel, handing over it as slowly as possible in the hope that the music stops and they can claim the prize.

22 days to complete. Checks on one man when the checks weren't as thorough as they are now. This is a check on 3 sets of people. Will take as long as it takes for me. Had 13 miserable years, whats a few weeks/months.

Oh, I agree, Geordie. It's not the waiting (in terms of patience), it's the uncertainty about why it's taking so long and the ton of negative press fuelling our doubts that's making me like this.

I mean I'm sure there wasn't a world pandemic happening when Man City were taken over either
