Thank God for that. I was running out of clues

    I am Willie Morgan

I spent my entire domestic career in the same county. Lancashire (Burnley (twice), Man Utd, Bolton, Blackpool)

I captained a big team under unusual circumstances. Man Utd in the 1974/5 season whilst winning the 2nd Division.

I share a connection with (amongst many) a national leader, a spiritual leader, and even the leader of a 3 piece rock band. Born on October 2nd as were Richard III, Gandhi, Sting plus Groucho Marx and Coco the Clown.

I scored a single goal for my country. Scotland.

If you liked MillerMen you'd like the song written for me. Willie Morgan on the Wing by Tristar Airbus.

My first appearance was in S6 1SW. I Made my professional debut for Burnley at Hillsborough.

I have firm connection to a Rotherham legend, Paul Newman and Robert Redford. I played with Ronnie Moore at Chicago Sting, a team named after the film (set in Chicago).

I just missed out on winning a big trophy. Turns out it was the closest I'd get to winning anything. Joined Man Utd just after they lifted the European Cup.

I played in a World Cup against Rivellino and Jairzinho but not Pele. I played for Scotland against Brazil in the 0-0 draw in West Germany '74.

I spent my summers doing the same thing I did the rest of the year. In the USA playing for Chicago Sting and Minnesota Kicks in the NASL.
