It does seem that there is an issue about the players having enough training prior to restarting the season! Seems the EFL didn't consult clubs.

Following QPRs lead, it now seems that Charlton, Stoke and one other, unnamed club are also against a June 20th start

I can see their point if they don't have enough time to get up to the required fitness levels, they have only just started contact training. Not going to be anybody's interests if players get unnecessary injuries.

Understand where you are coming from but I think this will blow itself out well before the 18 month mark.

It will take more than 18 months to "blow" itself out. However, peoples perception of risk will fall as deaths reduce, but the poor sods who have some vulnerability will remain at risk.

SARS, MERS etc didn't take 18 months to "blow out". Interested why you think their cousin will take that long.

ICU specialists over here have noticed that thrombosis occurs with about half of the CV-19 patients that end up in IC. That leads to renal failure in roughly half of those getting thrombosis. Thrombosis also causes heart and lung issues for patients. There has also been some brain damage spotted in some autopsies. They think that it's the virus itself doing the damage rather than thrombosis thickened blood.

We are looking at this from different vantage points mista. As I have said in other threads on CV-19, its relatives are still out there, as is Spanish flu for that matter. Still no vaccine for any of them but they are not the force they were. They still infect a relatively small number of people but are not significant in numbers and, to the best of my knowledge, they stopped looking for a vaccine for any of them once they faded into relative insignificance. So, yes, the most recent known MERS death was this year but cases are few and far between. Sorry if I gave you the impression they had all disappeared completely.
