    The Restart

Three weeks to the kick off!!

I think we can all celebrate that.

It will be fascinating to see how the teams perform after the break.

Basically, since we last played it has been a period almost exactly the same as a normal close season.

But it is nothing like a normal pre season build up.

Only in the last couple of days have players been allowed to tackle for instance. And the teams will be expected to hit the ground running without any pre season friendlies, which are normally important to get match fit once again.

I've no problems with all this, given the circumstances and it is the same for every club.

All our remaining 9 games will be televised which is great news, but I'll not be able to watch the games transmitted by BT or Amazon.

    Come on Burnley!

Yes,it's great isn't it. I can't get within 2 meters to give my grandchildren a cuddle for god knows how long yet ,but millionaire footballers can contact one another just so the rich become richer. .. And Sky get their viewing figures back up.. Phookin ridiculous how sport comes before families..

I agree that the rules are not very logical Alf.

I'm just happy that we can watch the Clarets again soon.

So what are we going to get now? Fake crowd noise to go with the fake football? Throw bags of Saudi gold into the mix to herald a brave new era and what do you get? A pretty tasteless dish imo.
