Waddle Out Of His Depth in Management

One of the very finest exponents of wing play on the football field was very much out of his depth managing it. - External Link

He really was a crap manager during his tenure at Burnley, but OMG could he play football!

I swear to God this true, we were sat in the hospitality box in the James Hargreaves stand, Waddle was on the half way line almost in front of us, Little was running down right wing and Waddle spotted him. He hit a long diagonal ball towards the corner flag going towards the Jimmy McIlroy stand and it spun back to Little who crossed the ball to Cooke and we scored. Unbelievable Jeff!

We had regular sessions with him on Friday nights in Padiham. Birds and booze do not go well in the life of a football manager!

I'm not sure what your post is about bfcjon? 99.99% of all of the Burnley fans I know think Waddle was crap for us and we have all moved on.

Dave's excellent article clearly states this, perhaps you ought to read it?
