Who Am I Quiz (No 70)

Can anyone prevent GF getting three in a row? Who am I?

One of my career statistics is just about as bad as it gets.

My managerial record was above average but I didn't stick at it for very long.

I won domestic and European cup competitions.

I once received an unusual fine playing football.

I played club football in 4 countries.

    I scored goals at Millmoor.

Well done GF, finished with a flourish.

    I am Geoff Hurst

One of my career statistics is just about as bad as it gets. I played 1 game a a professional cricketer for Es*** against Lancashire and scored 0 not out and 0.

My managerial record was above average but I didn't stick at it for very long. 43% in just under 2 seasons at Chelsea. The best in a 14 year spell there between Dave ***ton (1974) and Bobby Cambell (1988).

I won domestic and European cup competitions. FA Cup 1964 and Cup Winner's Cup 1965 with West Ham.

I once received an unusual fine playing football. As a t.eenager I was fined £1 for disturbing the peace for continually kicking the ball into a neighbours garden.

I played club football in 4 countries. England, South Africa, Ireland and USA.

I scored goals at Millmoor. Scored twice for West Ham in League Cup ties there in the early 1960s.

    Unpublished clues.

"Can tha ride tandem?" and "Do you know the piano's on my foot?". I was born in Ashton-under-Lyne as was Arthur Brooke, founder of Brooke Bond (PG Tips)

I share a connection with Mark Robins. Also born in Ashton-under-Lyne

If my manager hadn't changed my role things could have been very different. I started as a left half and struggled to get in the WHU team due to the fact it was also Bobby Moore's position.

There is another quiz question, which other World Cup winner was born in Ashton-under-Lyme?
